Three thoughts on the Proposed Tar Sands Oil Pipeline: If I wanted to construct a ludicrously fake environmental disaster project (à la Captain Planet), I would have probably called it the “Tar Sands Oil Pipeline.” “Tar Sands Oil Pipeline” would be a delicious Ben & Jerry’s flavor of fudge [tar], peanut butter [sand], and chocolate ribbons [oil pipeline].
